SADDLE CLUB Enquire about our monthly Saddleclub - $35 per day. Saddle Club also provides the opportunity for participants to have bare-foot trimming supervision. Resident Chiropractor on Saddleclub days also available.
BEACH RIDES5 MILE BEACH AND 7 MILE BEACH CAMBRIDGE
7 Mile Beach is right next door to Hobart Airport at Cambridge, making it convenient for a quick trail ride for Interstate tourists and or Hobart locals. The ride starts at 5 Mile beach car park - 2km from Barilla Bay Oyster Farm and Restaurant. Can be the From the car park, a short ride takes you onto 5 Mile Beach, a wide expanse of sand offering views of Pittwater and the serenity of riding in the calm waters. Back at the car park, unsaddle, hold your horse and stand clear while he or she rolls the sweat off. Enjoy some chilled Cascade Beer, Barilla Oysters or a Don’t forget the camera!! Ride lengths and costs. 2 – 2 ½ hours $99pp
3 – 3 ½ hours $139pp
This ride can also be extended to 3 – 4 hours for $159pp and includes a picnic lunch. Or split into 2 x 2 ½ hour rides for $189pp and includes a sausage sizzle lunch & beverages after. For large groups of 6 and over, a 1-hour ride can be organized for $50pp.
MARION BAY BEACH and LONG SPIT NATURE RESERVE MARION BAY
Experience unique vistasRIGHT ON OUR DOORSTEP!!!! Sensational views of the Canal and the man-made Channel through to “The Narrows” (the mouth of the canal). Ride up the long spit reserve round the corner to the surf (you will most likely hear it first!). Cross the river if its running, and head down the Surf beach with views of Maria Island and the Falls Festival grounds. Not so remote that you have to travel kms in order to have a truly extraordinary secluded experience. A mix of connecting with nature, taking in a range of We meet and start our Trail rides at Marion Bay at the Long Spit Nature Reserve opposite Boomer Bay, Dunalley and the spectacular “Castle”. p.s. Oysters can be collected off the beach! Eagles and other seabirds are a regular sight. Occasionally Sea Lions are spotted – watch out they roar. After an approximate 30 minute relaxing ride, where you are getting to know your horse, turn the corner and see the Surf rolling in - you and your horse will have probably heard it already, as you neared the beach entrance.
Sea Lions may be lying on the beach......beware!!! River Crossings are often necessary and can be challenging. The rocks at the end of Marion are a sight to see and Maria Island is in constant view as we head up the beach. Ride right past the Falls Festival location. See Surfers catching the waves (a mad breed, considering this is Tasmania in winter we’re talking about!). Challenge your horse to the waves. Be prepared to experience each of the 4 Seasons of Tasmanian weather in 2 hours. Take photos of rainbows, Sea Eagles, extraordinary views, your friends or partner on horseback. All this with the excitement of the sound of the waves crashing and horses that love to be there. This is a winter only ride from APRIL through to the end of SEPTEMBER. Normally a 2 – 2 ½ hour ride. 1 to 3 hour rides available – beverages can be available as an optional extra.
TRAIL AND CHALLENGEAn Empowerment and Leadership focused experience
Our onsite TRAIL AND CHALLENGE includes: mini lesson on the arena, the basics of stop, go and turn, emergency stop, finding your balance in the walk and trot, trail ride thru the Blackwood forest to the trout-filled lake, testing your skills on the obstacle course or jumps paddock and revisit the arena for a final trot or canter depending on your skill level. A 1hr experience costs $44pp, 1 ½ hr $69pp Maybe you could even catch a fish in our lake at the finish! |
